Muskego swimmer suffers asthma attack at lake, dies

Ottawa -- Despite immediate assistance from four nurses and an emergency medical technician, a Muskego man swimming in Ottawa Lake died Tuesday after an asthma attack, witnesses and police said.

Medical workers who had been relaxing at the beach briefly revived Matthew Hahm, who was pulled from the water about 2 p.m., witnesses said. He was not breathing and did not have a pulse, said Wendy Hart, a nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee who tried to save him.

Hahm had walked to about 50 feet from the beach before he collapsed and was dragged ...
