A committee of county supervisors yesterday recommended giving
millions of dollars in tax breaks and other incentives to a Loudoun
County satellite maker that is planning to expand its Dulles
headquarters.
In a series of five votes, the three-member finance committee
endorsed reducing personal property taxes and businesses taxes as
well as paying for a traffic light and changing the building fee
structure for Orbital Sciences Corp.
The matter now will go before the full Board of Supervisors,
which is scheduled to consider the tax breaks at its meeting
Wednesday. Two of the tax breaks would require approval from the
