Homeowners with failing wells want public lines extended

Mount Pleasant -- Homeowners along a portion of Wood Road experiencing problems with their wells have requested new water mains in order to connect to public water.

Surveys will help determine if public water should replace well water in this southeast town neighborhood.

The process is not new to Mount Pleasant, which takes several well water complaints each year and surveys affected residents to measure demand for public water and sewer service.
