Wisconsin restaurants win honors

Eagle River eatery, 6 others added to Wine Spectator list

"We're the end of the earth as far as the wine world is concerned," said Ron Meinholz. "We seldom see the wine salesmen."

Nevertheless, Meinholz has put together an award-winning wine list for the Logging Camp Kitchen & Still in Eagle River. The restaurant is part of the Pine-Aire Resort he and his wife, Cindy, have owned and operated for almost 26 years.

The resort has cabins, an RV park and a marina. And now, this laid- back locale sports the Wine Spectator's "Award of Excellence," coveted kudos meted out by the wine industry's leading trade ...
