Sleepy effort puts them three below .500

Milwaukee Admirals coach Dave Allison tried to detect a pulse in his hockey team on Wednesday night.

But he found none as the Admirals sleepwalked through a 3-1 loss to the Houston Aeros before a nearly silent Bradley Center crowd of 4,024. The Admirals, who had played well in a 5-1 road victory over the Chicago Wolves on Saturday, went back into their offensive shell and fell three games below .500 (7-10-1).

"To come down here and play with that little pulse in that important of a game, it's awful," Allison said.
