Snow showers, cold air to blow into state

Winds expected to reach 60 mph in parts of state

Snow showers and the lowest temperatures of the season should sweep into much of Wisconsin by this morning, driven by winds in some places as high as 60 mph, forecasters said.

A deepening area of low pressure moving eastward Wednesday from northern Minnesota was expected to create high winds and send temperatures plummeting into the 30s early today throughout the central and southern part of Wisconsin, the National Weather Service in Sullivan said.
