Somebody with a championship ring and a champion's attitude needs to restore order in the 49ers' locker room.

Judging by what we've witnessed in the first half of the 49ers' season, the biggest victim of the salary cap hasn't been talent or depth. It's common sense.

There was an astounding lack of it on display Wednesday, when Terrell Owens let loose on his coach, Steve Mariucci. Owens' comments rank among the dumbest ever uttered in the NFL, a category full of stiff competition.
