SAN FRANCISCO -- They saw the playoffs last year. They've seen the
standings. They've seen the highlight-reel catches nightly on
television. And now that they've seen them in person, the San
Francisco Giants are impressed.
The Minnesota Twins scored runs in the first inning each night.
They made diving catches. They scored runners from third with less
than two out. They had clutch two-out hits.
In three games, the Twins never trailed, since the Giants won on
the final swing of Wednesday's game. Take away that bullpen letdown,
and this is a Twins sweep.
