EONARDO da Vinci, the original Renaissance man, was many things --
artist, scientist, inventor, philosopher -- but until the publication
of Dan Brown's novel "The Da Vinci Code," Leonardo had yet to be an
action-adventure hero. Sharing this summer's must-read list with the
likes of Harry Potter, Hillary Clinton and Katharine Hepburn, da
Vinci is the unlikeliest of secret agents, but that, in essence, is
the role he plays in "The Da Vinci Code." The novel has stirred up
all kinds of interest in da Vinci and inspired readers to re-examine
his paintings and writings. Conveniently, Berkeley Repertory Theatre
