THE RETAIL renaissance along Alameda's Park Street shopping district appears to be gaining momentum as trendy new businesses reflect the area's changing identity.City officials and commercial real estate agents say there is a direct correlation between the arrival of upwardly mobile residents and corporate chain stores and trendy shops that have popped up among Park Street's beauty salons, small restaurants and secondhand stores.
