Q. A recent Ann Landers column recommended aspirin for anyone
experiencing the symptoms of a heart attack. I'd like to know your
opinion about the benefits (if any) of this recommendation.
I've heard of some people taking an aspirin a day as a
preventive step against heart attacks. But I've never seen a
recommendation to take an aspirin immediately following the onset of
heart attack symptoms. Can it do any harm? Might it do any good?
