SINCE 1998, Signature Wines has been creating custom label wines
for the likes of universities, the Sierra Club and even Elvis
Presley's estate. Now, the Hayward company's most popular creations
are coming to retail stores for the first time.With label approval
pending, the wines could be available in East Bay shops as early as
April.
The Graceland Cellars line, which features pictures of Elvis at
various stages in his career, is sure to be very popular. Last year,
the company landed exclusive rights to use the Elvis image on wine.
The initial offerings are The King Cabernet (Sauvignon), Jailhouse
Red (Merlot) and Blue Suede Chardonnay, all with a suggested retail
price of $9.99.
