PLEASANTON -- It doesn't matter if it's a salmon, a tuna or a
steelhead. If it swims in the waters where Bob Searle is fishing, you
can bet that he will probably catch it.
For the owner of Pacific Coast Anglers in Pleasanton, there is
nothing he loves more than fishing. Specifically fly-fishing.
"When I got into fly-fishing, it was like I caught a virus," said
Searle, 58, of Danville. "It became all consuming -- where I ate,
slept and drank fly fishing."
Searle's store at 5677A Gibraltar Drive is 100 percent devoted to
fly-fishing. Besides the estimated 3,000 artificial flies neatly
displayed in a case near the entrance, there are fly-fishing books
and videos, fly-fishing rods and reels, ...
