Article: Neighbors help douse minor fire

OAKLAND -- A pot left unattended on a stove may have caused a small house fire Monday in East Oakland, authorities said.

The owner of the house in the 9300 block of Lawlor Street was not home when neighbors noticed smoke coming from a window about 4:57 p.m., authorities said.
