SAN LEANDRO -- The Bishop O'Dowd High baseball team continues to
show why it is the East Bay's top team, and why it keeps creeping up
the state and national rankings.
The Dragons (18-0, 11-0 Hayward Area Athletic League), backed by
ace right-hander Tyson Ross, remained undefeated with a 3-0 win over
San Leandro on Tuesday night under the lights at San Leandro
Ballpark.
Ross (5-0 in league) threw a one-hit shutout, allowing just a one-
out double in the fifth inning to David Buscovich.
"(Ross) was overpowering," San Leandro skipper Eddie Abram said of
the fireballer who was clocked at 94 miles per hour on one radar
device. "He's got the nastiest slider. He was dominating."
