HOT Hot Heat has certainly lived up to its name in 2005.

The Victoria, British Columbia, quartet has been on fire since its chart-climbing major-label debut, "Elevator," hit stores in April. The band's big single, the unbearably catchy "Goodnight Goodnight," has been a mainstay on modern-rock radio for months. And its current worldwide tour has been drawing packed houses, including on Sunday night at the Fillmore in San Francisco.
