The expression "birds of a feather flock together" is derived from
the fact that a single duck is totally dependent on its fellow ducks.
So it is only fitting the design for the 2005 California Duck
Stamp and Print comes about through a group effort.
The design was created by artist Rich Radigonda of Benicia and
published by Carlo Vecchiarelli of Pleasanton.
The California Duck Stamp is a 1-inch-by-2-inch stamp that must be
purchased by all duck hunters in the state and attached to their
hunting license.
Vecchiarelli is a retired
teacher and administrator at Las Positas and Chabot colleges, as
well as longtime owner with his wife, Geri, of Dolls and Ducks, a
