SAN RAMON -- An addition to a proposed change in the citys zoning
code would make it harder for San Ramon golf course land to be used
for anything but golf.
The Planning Commission recommended adding restrictions to the
proposed changes in the zoning of city golf courses to narrow
possible land uses.
The Tuesday night decision came after commissioners once again
heard spirited testimony from residents who live near the Royal Vista
and Canyon Lakes golf courses.
The commission also felt that some rules were needed to keep
recreational vehicles off of city streets and out of front yards, but
were split on how strict the provisions should be.
