Article: Cal State East Bay just says, 'Hey Mo!'

HAYWARD -- The next president of California State University, East Bay, might not be the "superhuman" the campus community ordered last fall, but some say Mohammad Qayoumi comes close.

"If you were to target this incredible composite of skills and personality, Mo is there," said David Larson, chairman of the geography and environmental studies department.

Qayoumi will bring a wide array of experiences and perspectives to the East Bay campus when he succeeds President Norma Rees, who retires next month.
