The University of California, Berkeley, has inked a deal with Apple Computers that makes dozens of course lectures available on the popular iTunes Music Store.

Students can download video and audio recordings of lectures from select courses directly onto their iPods and other MP3 players through the service.

The agreement, announced Tuesday, augments online course lectures - - called coursecasts or podcasts -- that are already available through a campus-based Web site.

The recordings are free to download and are available to both students and the general public. Unlike other universities, UC Berkeley does not restrict the content to students and ...
