The University of California, Berkeley, has signed a deal with
Apple Computers that makes dozens of course lectures available on the
popular iTunes Music Store.
Students can download video and audio recordings of lectures from
select courses directly onto their iPods and other MP3 players
through the service.
The agreement augments online course lectures -- called
coursecasts or podcasts -- that are already available through a
campus-based Web site available at http://webcast.berkeley.edu.
The recordings are free for download and are available to students
and the general public. Unlike other universities, UC Berkeley does
