Brian Taylor, Long Reach, Sr.
For the second straight season, no one in the county was better
than the Lightning's middle linebacker. Taylor had a team-high 130
tackles -- 74 unassisted -- to go along with an interception and
a fumble recovery to lead one of the county's best units. Taylor, who
also rushed for 38 yards and five touchdowns on 14 carries as a
fullback, has made 281 tackles the past two seasons to lead the
Lightning to consecutive postseason appearances. "Everything we do
defensively starts with Brian Taylor," Coach Pete Hughes said. "He
