Article: Utah County commuter rail faces uphill fight

PROVO -- Lindon resident Stewart Bridge envisions the day when he can hop on a commuter rail car and take the train to his workplace in Salt Lake City.

But he might not make it that far -- maybe just to Thanksgiving Point.

The problem is that Salt Lake County residents don't want, or really need, commuter rail. They want TRAX extensions into West Valley City and to the airport, says Utah Transit Authority boss John Inglish.

This leaves Utah County commuters looking for relief from the heavy congestion on I-15 without many options.
