Hot Hot Heat drummer Paul Hawley cut his teeth on his father's classic rock. "When you're a kid, you don't have any money, and you don't have any opinion," Hawley said.

"I fell into that category and learned how to play drums to the Doors, (Jimi) Hendrix and Credence Clearwater Revival," he added during a telephone interview from Las Vegas. "Then, when I was in high school, I heard Nirvana. That separated me from my father's generation."
