With the Utah offense struggling and the team on the verge of
losing to San Diego State at home for the first time in 22 years,
there was only one person for the Utes to turn to.
Nick Jacobson, of course.
The result was a 65-61 Utah victory at the Huntsman Center that
kept the Utes in second place in the Mountain West Conference at 5-2
and improved their season record to 17-5.
The Utes' senior leader was having an off-game, but midway through
the second half of a tie game, he decided enough was enough. He told
point guard Tim Drisdom he was "ready to take over," at least
according to Drisdom, and he did just that.
First it was a 15-footer from the right angle to put the Utes up
