Now that winter has plunged into a new year and the Packers
are still playing at home, the people of Green Bay have an unusual
request for bicoastal elitists, phrasemaker Chris Berman, producers
at Fox Sports and the tribe of writers finding their way north to
cover the playoffs at Lambeau Field: Please try, if only this once,
to capture the scene without resorting to that romantic yet
condescending cliche: the frozen tundra.
It might appear fog-shrouded and bleak up here, but
northeastern Wisconsin is enjoying a veritable heat wave this week.
