Sporting clays, the challenging target-shooting game that's
fast replacing bird hunting as the sport of choice for many
shotgunners in the urbanized East, has been dubbed, humorously,
"Golf with guns."
Of course, anyone who whacks the dimpled ball around knows the
days of walking a golf course are over except for a few diehards who
slow progress for everyone else. This is America, where anything
good is better if you do it in a vehicle that burns fossil fuel.
Golf carts are in.
It was only a matter of time before sporting clays got on the
cart wagon, too. That time has arrived.
