Fern Dea Bartels Fisher Redmon, 90, died peacefully in her sleep
of natural causes on Nov 20, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born Aug 16, 1914 in Lyle, Minnesota to William Orley and Dora Dea
Dawson Bartels.
Fern joined Mama's Faith Temple Pentecostal Church in 1961 and
served as the Director of the local YWCA; she was instrumental in the
development of the YWCA program for abused woman and children. She
also served as House Director of the Delta Delta Delta Theta Phi
Chapter sorority house at the University of Utah.
She is survived by brothers Leo (Beverly) and Lyle (Bonnie)
Bartels; her sister Juanita Bartels Boekholder; daughters Charlotte
(Karle) Soderling and Elizabeth ...
