Mark Eaton says he has no real list of top reads. He can't name
one favorite book or best genre. Whatever you like you should read,
said the 7-foot-4-inch former Utah Jazz player.
Eaton has always been into books, following the example of his
father, who was an avid reader. He grew up reading hardbound Readers
Digest books, Jack London novels and classics like "Black Beauty" and
"Lord of the Flies."
As a youngster, Eaton said a book that really impacted him was
"Black Like Me," by John Howard Griffin, about a white man who put on
makeup in order to experience as closely as a white man could what it
was like to be black.
He said a must read for any young athlete is "Foul Connie ...
