Apparently Real Salt Lake's road woes aren't related to the road after all.

Playing on the temporary grass surface at Rice-Eccles Stadium for the first time, RSL struggled to find any rhythm from the opening whistle and ultimately lost its first home game of the season 3-0 to the Chicago Fire in front of 17,861 fans.

"We all should be familiar with grass fields, we've been playing on them for most of our careers," said Salt Lake defender Marlon Rojas.

It's kind of silly how lethargic Salt Lake plays on grass. In five games, it has been outscored 12-1. The first four were on the road, but the plague spread to Rice-Eccles Stadium Saturday.
