After working in construction-related fields for some time,
Christofer S. Shurian decided in 1996 that it was time to start his
own home-remodeling venture.
But he wanted his company, Provo-based Classic Construction
Services Inc., to stand out in a crowded industry. So Shurian vowed
to practice only the highest industry standards and to make his top
goal exceeding the expectations of his customers.
At times, this high-standards approach created challenges, like
"grumbling in the ranks" if an employee misunderstood the company's
strict quality-control procedures.
