Rafael Palmeiro, the embattled slugger who flunked a drug test, is
hoping Congress and the public will believe his story, however
farfetched it might seem. It won't be easy, although he did get a
vote of confidence from our Commander and Chief.
"Rafael Palmeiro is a friend," said Pres. George W. Bush, who was
managing general partner of the Texas Rangers when Palmeiro was on
the team. "He testified in public, and I believe him."
Great, THAT Palmeiro did not need. Pres. Bush also believes in
Karl Rove, Michael Bolton, Condoleeza Rice and Dick Cheney to name a
few whose honesty has been called into question lately.
He's standing behind Palmeiro the same way he's supporting people
who might ...
