Paul W. McGill 1919 ~ 2005 Paul W. McGill died October 21, 2005.
Paul was born October 3, 1919 in Goodridge Township, Minnesota.
Paul's birth occurred while his father, Henry, and mother, Augusta
(Willie), were on a journey to begin homesteading in Joplin, Montana.
Paul was educated in the public schools of Havre, Montana. In the
summer of 1940 while working on a "gandy gang" for the Great Northern
Railroad, he joined the Montana National Guard. The guard was
mobilized in the fall of 1940. His infantry unit was assigned to Fort
Lewis, Washington for infantry training. On Nov. 29, 1941, Paul
married his high school sweetheart, Mae McCabe, at the Fort Lewis
