"Can ye be angry and not sin?"
That's what the Joseph Smith translation of Ephesians 4:26 asks in
what members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
believe is a restoration of Paul's original words in the New
Testament.
Indeed, anger is one of the "Seven Deadly Sins" and with good
reason.
"He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that
ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city," Proverbs 16:32 states.
Uncontrolled anger (also sometimes called "wrath" or "malice") can
lead to child or spouse abuse, road rage, violence, racial hatred and
even murder.
It is the opposite of kindness.
