Article: San Juan tops Grand County

BLANDING -- The San Juan Broncos avenged last year's 2A championship-game loss to Grand County by defeating the Red Devils 30- 15 Saturday night.

"Our goal was to not get beat on any big plays, and to keep everything in front of us," San Juan coach Monty Lee said. "And tonight, I think we did that."

Neither team scored in the first period, but on the first play of the second quarter, senior Bradley Royer made a 1-yard touchdown run for the Broncos. Tranner Sharpe kicked the extra point to put San Juan ahead 7-0.
