The Capital-Journal
Natushica Smith and her family moved to Scranton about a year ago
from Topeka because they wanted get out of the city and live in a
small town.
The noise and traffic in Topeka had worn on Smith. Her family had
some land near Scranton, so they made the move.
Smith said the town is a nice, quiet place to live, and it is a
good community, so she was "somewhat shocked" when she learned about
a homicide investigation involving a man who lived outside of
Scranton in Osage County.
It is the first homicide in the county in about five years.
