Attiya Inayatullah, president of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, has been in the family planning movement for 30 years, first in her homeland of Pakistan and later internationally.

She was in town last week to meet with House members in an effort to persuade them that when America supports family planning programs for the world's impoverished women, it is preventing, not promoting, abortion.
