Article: Chipman says conference opponents are 'a cut above everybody we've played so far'

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. --- The Washburn Ichabods are unbeaten in eight games and ranked No. 24 nationally in NCAA Division II. Coach Bob Chipman likes what he's seen from his team, but he isn't overly excited just yet.

"We've played all right ... nothing special," Chipman said. "I still wonder how good we are. Our league is a cut above everybody we've played so far. We haven't faced anybody that's as good as any team in our league."

The learning curve takes an upward turn tonight when the Ichabods open their 18-game MIAA schedule on the road against Missouri Western at 7:30 p.m.
