Man faces DUI, other charges

Two-year-old Kross Scott was sleeping early Sunday at his family's
home when a pickup truck crashed through a wall about five feet away,
said his father, James Scott.
Shawnee County Jail records show that a man accused of being the
driver --- Jose A. Sanchez, 31, of 3505 S.E. Bryant --- was later
arrested in central Topeka in connection with misdemeanors that
included driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene
of a traffic accident.
"He almost killed my kids," James Scott said late Sunday afternoon
while looking at a large hole in the wall left by the crash at the
