Shawnee County commissioners on Monday will discuss whether to
take the first step toward replacing a bridge on N.W. 70th Street.
Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. at the Shawnee County
Courthouse, 200 S.E. 7th. Their agenda includes a proposal to
authorize a design project budget of $29,000 toward replacing a
bridge over a tributary to Halfday Creek on N.W. 70th, about one-
quarter mile east of N.W. US-75 highway.
The design project would be financed with revenue from the
county's current quarter-cent sales tax, which supports economic
development and road and bridge improvements.
