Pearl J. Engstrom
Pearl J. Engstrom, 85, Topeka, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at
Plaza West Regional Health Center.
She was born July 3, 1919, in Topeka, the daughter of James N. and
Myrtle M. Barger Lydic.
Pearl was a member of University United Methodist Church.
She served for more than 30 years as a deputy sheriff for the
Shawnee County Sheriff's Department.
She married Bernard Engstrom. He died in 1992.
Survivors include a sister, Clara Dinger, Topeka; two nephews, Bob
and Jon Proctor; and a great-nephew, Zacahary Proctor.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid
Town Chapel. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery. Pearl will lie in
state after 2 p.m. Monday at the ...
