Giddens soars
The biggest basket for Kansas in its 74-65 victory Wednesday night
over Kansas State came on a 3-pointer from the corner by J.R. Giddens
with 1:44 remaining. With the sellout crowd in Bramlage Coliseum
stirred by a determined K-State comeback bid, Giddens' trey extended
the Jayhawks' lead after the Wildcats had moved within five.
"It was the play we drew up and good execution by my teammates,"
Giddens said. "My teammates were getting me the ball off screens and
it was a nice night."
