STILLWATER, Okla. --- Josh Dent and Kansas State hit Oklahoma State with a four-run fourth inning, but it wasn't enough in an 8-5 loss to the Cowboys on Saturday.

Dent tripled to drive in two runs in the fourth, and hit a run- scoring double in the third.

Oklahoma State bounced back with a three-run fourth, making it a 5- 4 game, and piled on four runs in the sixth. Ty Wright and Corey Brown both had three hits and three RBIs for the Cowboys.

Rick Rivas pitched 5 1/3 innings of two-hit ball to quiet K- State. The Wildcats' Mitch Walter (2-2) went five innings, giving up six hits, six runs --- five earned --- and walked three.
