For those of us who have been around for any length of time, the
start of a new year is old hat.
Yet it is always exciting --- full of possibilities and the hope
for lots of good experiences down the road.
I have ushered in more than 40 new years in my lifetime, and,
believe me, each one is a gift.
Still, the older I get, the more it seems one new year merges in
to another.
The new year that stands out the most in my lifetime is the one in
2000.
