Packages from the Heartland is an effort to send small items to
American troops in Iraq. Some of the items requested by the troops
are:
Pens, black Sharpies, envelopes, small spiral note pads, disposal
cameras, playing cards and other small-size games, AA and AAA
batteries, 220 adapters, deodorant, baby wipes, powder, razors,
shaving gel, shampoo, band-aids, foot powder, chapstick, facial
tissues, Q-Tips, waterless hand sanitizer, cortisone cream, pump-
style bug spray, sunscreen, small packets of Tylenol or Motrin,
powdered Gatorade or Tang, granola bars, trail mix, sunflower seeds,
instant oatmeal packets, canned fruit cups, beef jerky, tuna or
chicken snack kits, dry soup mix, ...
