Obviously, the absence of No. 1 runner Autumn Kidwell because of a freak injury hurt Seaman's chances for a team championship in Saturday's Topeka West Invitational cross country meet.

Still, Viking coach Rick Brading found plenty to smile about after Seaman's second-place showing to Shawnee Mission South (44-56) at the Stateland course.
