KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Oklahoma State tuned up for today's grudge
match against Oklahoma and bolstered its NCAA hopes in the process by
crushing hapless Baylor 83-57 Thursday in the first round of the Big
12 Tournament.
Glendon Alexander and Adrian Peterson led a 3-point Cowboy
barrage, scoring 23 and 19 points, respectively, and Doug Gottlieb
set a tourney record with 14 assists as O-State improved to 20-9.
Baylor (6-24) lost its 17th game in a row despite a 29-point, 14-
rebound performance from senior Kish Lewis.
The game might have been marked the coaching finale for Baylor
coach Harry Miller, who said a decision would be announced soon.
