MARYSVILLE --- In the 1980s, University of Nebraska student John
Banister showed his school spirit as trombone player in the Big Red
marching band.
Fifteen years later, Banister is still a horn-tooter --- as the
organizer of Friday's downtown Marysville football pep rally aimed at
fans of both NU and Kansas State University.
Billed as the KSU-NU Showdown Festival, the event, which he said
he hopes to conduct yearly, will take place on the eve of the annual
gridiron battle of the two ...
