Fairlee Allen
MANHATTAN --- Fairlee Horton Allen, 84, Manhattan, died Tuesday,
Nov. 28, 2000, at a Manhattan hospital.
She was born April 6, 1916, in Hume, Mo., the daughter of Charles
E. and Emma Wallace Horton Jr. She earned a bachelor's degree in
journalism at the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1938.
Mrs. Allen was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in
Manhattan.
She married Robert H. Allen on Aug. 30, 1940. He died July 23,
1975.
Survivors include a son, David R. Allen, Manhattan; and a
granddaughter.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Yorgensen-Meloan-
Londeen Funeral Chapel in Manhattan. Inurnment will be at a later
date in Hume.
