Seven years ago, Zeke Mowatt flashed himself at Lisa Olson,
who was then a reporter for the Boston Herald, and the great locker
room debate erupted. For days, weeks, months -- years, really -- the
most common question I would be asked about my job had to do with
locker rooms. And the most popular argument used by those who
thought women do not belong in the locker room was the ridiculous
women's locker room defense.
It went something like this: "Well, if you really want
equality, then you have to let men into women's locker rooms."
And then the person who said it would smirk, as if the thought
of a man in a women's locker room was something incredibly amusing
and salacious.
